May Weekend Year Firsts

A weekend around the province included year firsts of:
Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus), drake Red-Breasted Merganser (Mergus serrator), and Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) at WWT Castle Espie on 27 May.
Three Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) at Murlough Reserve, Co Down.
Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) on the Lake in Hillsborough Forest, Co Down.
Now back to porridge.
