Army Birding

Another walk over to the base sewage lagoons this afternoon. Excellent views of male Northern Harrier along the path and at the lagoons plenty of wildfowl with the addition of a female Bufflehead, my first in Suffield, and a stunning Slavonian Grebe.

It was whilst I was watching the Slav that I noticed two MPs heading my way. Once they found out I wasn't a spy taking photos of the 'top secret' sewage plant they apologised and left me to my own devises. Canadians are great - stopped for potential espionage and receive an apology afterwards.

Can't help thinking that you were lucky not to be tasered out on the prairie and flushing everything for a mile!
