This week was quiet, partly because I had been lazy, and remained in bed due to the cold mornings but probably because the return migration is grinding to a halt. That said, the last two days produced four Red-breasted Flycatchers all around the bottling plant and this morning a rather drab Bluethroat in the same location. Masked Wagtails occur, generally overhead, most days. A warbler flushed today was a Phylloscopus but sadly remained unidentified.

Crested Larks remain the common bird in Bastion and one corner of the bottling plant has now been renamed Lark Corner due to the numbers of birds there at any one time. Tree Sparrows, due to the lack of sizable vegetation, are found on buildings and replace House Sparrows in this part of the world. This species is best found at the EFI in Bastion 1 foraging around tables and around sangars in Bastion 2.

I would be grateful if any ID pictures of Taiga Flycatcher are forwarded to me as I live in hope.
