London Wetland Centre (WWT Barnes) - Spotted Crake

Spotted Crake is being reported at the LWT (see http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit-us/london/w ... -sightings). As at 27 September, it is still being seen. I haven't caught up with it yet! I did see it, as confirmed by some other birders in the hide, but it was distant and without a scope firm ID was not possible.

As at today, Sat 3 Oct, the Spotted Crake is still at Barnes. I caught up with it and got a good view in the scope. It is supposed to have been around for 3 weeks now. The first sighting report on the WWT site is for 13 Sep (see http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit-us/london/w ... ngs?page=2). I am hoping it will hang around for another 3 weeks ready for our group visit. Some hope!
