Week 9 has proved again quiet. Plenty of Barn Swallows flying SE most mornings and definative proof that both Crested Lark and Tree Sparrow are breeding. Other species have included Palm Dove, Common Myna and Oriental Skylark.
A visit to Kabul for three days provided the opportunity to see two new species; Laughing Dove and Pied Bushchat which both appear to be breeding at the BRITFOR NSE along with Barn Swallow, Tree and House Sparrow. A drive around Kabul (not recommended) saw Crested Lark, Crag Martin, Black-billed Magpie, Common Myna, Crested Lark and Palm Dove. The British Embassy compound (an oasis) was disapointing despite the tree cover and foliage.
I depart back to the desert and the increasing heat in the next few hours.
