Week 5 complete

Postby Lesser Spot Finder » Tue May 08, 2007 11:27 am

A good week with a number of interesting birds. The weeks highlight was today (8 May) when I had a fly by Lagger Falcon at a distance of 10 feet whilst chatting to an old friend. The bird flew slowly by at a height of about 3 feet! Spotted Flycatchers arrived in numbers with at least a dozen still around today. In addition the following have been seen:

Blue-cheeked Bee-Eater (7)
Blyth's Reed Warbler (2)
Upcher's Warbler (2)
Plain Leaf Warbler (5+)
Long-tailed Shrike (1)
Red-wattled Plover (7)
House Crow (5)
Collared Dove (4)
Palm Dove (numerous)
Tree Sparrow (numerous)
Common Myna (3)
Crested Lark (numerous)

Hope all is well, have a great AGM.

Richard
