Just to draw others attention to an interesting article about the RN Bird Watching Society (and a fleeting refernce to AOS). At link below you will see an article in the Daily Telegraph under the heading:

"Royal Navy sailors set out for Antarctica with the albatross in their sights.
Warblers in war zones and at the far reaches of the world are the passion of The Royal Naval birdwatching society."

A good article. The reference to 300 members is amusing as three out of the five active ones were in the photo! They had good coverage from Chris Patrick's owl at sea story as well.
Oh for a publicity member!
