Birding through SUSAT

The only plus point to sanger duty over looking the wadi at silly o'clock in the morning is being able to watch the dawn migration. This morning I saw:

Barn Swallow
White Wagtail
Tree sparrow
House sparrow
Black-headed gull
Common Mynah
Magpie

And an unknown. Think gull. Light grey back and wings, white head, tail and stomach but the underside of the winds are completely black. Couldn't PID colour of beak and legs but as they were not obvious, I'm guessing red. Any ideas?

Chris,

Adult Little Gull has a sooty grey underwing. As its name suggests it is small; smaller than a Black-headed Gull, with rounder wing tips. In full breeding plumage the adults have a black hood.

Keep your head down!
