Week 8 - the end of Migration?

Postby Lesser Spot Finder » Sat Jun 02, 2007 7:11 am

Migration through and over Bastion is now over. Birds are now limited and restricted to breeding species. Tree Sparrows are doing especially well with young in evidence. Family groups of Crested Lark are seen daily and the only other species seen was one Oriental (Small) Skylark which flew over the EFI complex. Camel Spiders have made another appearance in the accommodation and there have been two Dragonfly species seen, one a Dater sp and the other which appeared similar to an Emerald sp. An email from the previous expeditions member has confirmed he is now in theatre working for higher formation as a civilian. We shall meet up soon for an afternoon of biding within the wire.
