Hungarian Owl Mystery

Postby Black Woodpecker » Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:51 am

I counted three different owl species possibly four gathering in this roost can’t say I have ever heard of that. I have known Long-eared Owls to gather where I was in Germany. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMd_AIhKdXY&feature=fvsr

Owl Roosts

Postby roger dickey » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:44 am

Likewise I have seen LEOs roosting together and there are plenty of occasions when larger owls have come into urban areas to roost but usually in family groups. Lots of owls - lots of prey - shortly to be a cat-free region perhaps.
