The sky was finally blue today and as I woke there was a strange golden orb which rose in the east and has been tracking across the sky all day - it appears to be heading west! The locals appear to know what it is and are rather excited - so are the mosquitoes. Nothing much to report since my last missive - there was a Swainson's Thrush on camp towards the end of last week and three Willets just outside camp last night.
I am off to Calgary on Thursday and will drive steadily back checking out all the sloughs on the way - scope will be in the boot so I'll attempt to have a better look at any Tundra Swans on the way down.
